Wedding Venue Reviews: (personal review's by Neil Hanson Photography)
I decided to start building this Information Page together for future Brides & Grooms as the choice of Wedding Venue's can be quite daunting, there is just so much choice! Hopefully some of the information (from a photographer's point of view) you may find helpful.
All venue photographs have been taken by Neil Hanson Photography at real Weddings.
Thank you for taking time to read my Wedding Venue Review Page - it will be expanded over time.....
Wedding Photography at Caswell House, - Brize Norton near Witney, Oxfordshire
Caswell House - winner of 'Best Venue' in the 2013 Wedding Industry Awards for London & the South East.
What can you say about the beautiful Cotswold Wedding venue that is Caswell House in Oxfordshire - other than it is truly magnificent & the most wonderful place to hold your most important day of all! It has to be a Wedding Photographers dream to be able to photograph you, your guests & the beautiful surroundings here. So much attention to detail everywhere you look, so much space available even if the weather feels grumpy on the day. I have covered many Wedding Ceremonies & receptions here & never not found a new place to take a different photograph each time. From the bridge over the moat, the manicured gardens to the near-by corn fields.... there is so much choice available & the sunsets are just wonderful! Caswell House is spotless & beautifully presented, the staff are among the best I have had the pleasure to work with & as a bonus - it's just round the corner from me! If you are looking for an outstanding Cotswold venue - look no further!
Neil Hanson Photography is delighted to be a recommended Wedding Photography supplier for Caswell House.
Wedding Photography at The Tythe Barn, Launton, Bicester, Oxfordshire
The Tythe Barn is situated near the village of Launton, right next to the St Mary's Church and joined by gated access. The Bridal Suite is located next door in the Farmhouse, wonderfully decorated with plenty of "getting ready room" for hairdressers, make-up artists, parents, bridesmaids and even a photographer! There is plenty of room at the front and back of the Tythe Barn for guests to mingle and enjoy the gardens. There is also plenty of secluded areas and places to photograph the Bride and Groom away from guests to capture those special moments. If the weather is bad then there is large enough areas inside to get group photos, there is even a balcony (above the bar) to get that large group shot done. The Wedding breakfast area is well laid out and opens up to a very large dance floor for the evening entertainment. I particularly enjoy the way that the barn lights up in the evening, a perfect backdrop to get a Bride and Groom evening shot to finish off the day spectacularly!
The Tythe Barn near Launton Oxfordshire is probably of my favourite venues to photograph a Wedding, from a photographers point of view I would highly recommend this venue!

Wedding Photography at The Bay Tree Hotel, - Burford, Oxfordshire
Burford is a beautiful Cotswold town located in the West Oxfordshire Countryside and is often referred to as "The Gateway to the Cotswolds". The Bay Tree Hotel is one of my favourite Wedding Ceremony and Reception Venues and luckily just down the road from my studio. It's a small Country House Hotel, there is a warmth of the atmosphere throughout, especially in Winter with the numerous roaring open fires! There is so much attention to detail at The Bay Tree, is the bridal Suite is beautifully decorated and plenty of room to take great "getting ready" shots. The gardens are stunning, plenty of room for formal groups and areas for children to explore. There are so many areas at the Bay Tree where we can get great Bride and Groom shots and as the hotel is situated in the heart of Burford, if you fancy a short walk around the picture postcard streets of Burford, not a problem. I would definitely recommend The Bay Tree Hotel as an excellent Wedding Venue!
